Falling in Love:
Believe if you will that falling in love is controlled by the random act of a little fellow in a diaper as he flies aimlessly throughout the world shooting arrows at those around him. Just know that you can run from it, but you can't hide, and that once you are infected there is no means of erasing the fact that you are indeed in love.

The emotions which we experience when we are falling in love are almost enough to set off fireworks. Love is a powerful emotion and one which most of us will luckily have the pleasure to experience at some point in our lives...Falling in love.
Overcoming Shyness with Communication Exercises:
We are the silent voice that is rarely heard because we are afraid to speak out. Locked within our shyness, we miss out on so very many opportunities of life and living. We just quietly remove ourselves to the shadows, and watch the world from there, but that does not have to be the case. We can be strong, vocal and unafraid. It just takes inner strength, and a strong willingness to fight to overcome the tendency to retreat, and hide within the safety of our world of silence....Overcoming Shyness with Communication Exercises.

Catch Phrases to Excuse Shortcomings:
I admit it, I'm not one to mince my words, and I have absolutely no ability what-so-ever to be conservative in my viewpoint. I am just not tactful. I am not comfortable in social settings.

I cannot time the punch line of a joke and if I have an opinion it is going to slip out no matter how hard I try to bite my tongue. This isn't something that has developed overnight, I've always been a little shy...Catch Phrases to Excuse Shortcomings.
A twisted pathway to finding me:
I am not sure if I was born ill or if the rare chronic illness which I suffer from appeared later in my life. I do know that I was always fragile, and that when I turned 26 my life took a sudden nose dive into disability, and it has remained there since.

Each day of my life I spend fighting to survive. Which is strange because I look perfectly normal. Most people do not understand this illness, not my acquaintances, not my friends, not my family, and not even my doctors. The illness is too rare.

The only individuals who truly understand what it is like living with JO1 antibodies are those who like me exist within the confines of this strange affliction.

They class myself and others with similar muscular problems within the borders of another rare illness known as myositis. Because even individuals with myositis are rare, this illness, and research into it are also not very common.

Without a lot of research into this disease there is not a lot known concerning appropriate treatments for people like me. We are virtually left to hope that the medications and treatments currently being experimented on us are correct.

For this reason you will find that many of my articles deal with chronic illness, alternative therapies, and reasons as to why someone might suffer from a chronic health problem.

In the years that I have fought my health difficulties and the stigmas that come along with having a rare illness, I have learned to trust deeply in myself and my beliefs.

I stand tall and I walk with pride. I am content to wind and weave my way to each new adventure that I encounter. Behind me I leave a trail of written words filled with my thoughts, fears, frustrations, wonder, curiosity, happiness and contentment.

For some individuals the road that they are allowed to walk is easy. For others the pathway is filled with pitfalls, predators, and brick walls which force them to twist and weave their way around, and through these obstacles.

My path has been a little crooked to put it mildly, luckily I learned early that it is how we treasure each moment of our life, which makes it worth the living. I love my life and I treasure every moment of it.

In these little writings that I drop along my way, are words that you might stumble upon one day, and know that I have passed the same direction as yourself. These little words are the marks of my life and of me, a writer, blogger, woman, and child.

My laughter, tears, fears, curiosity, wonder, and joys exist in the words that define my pathway in life. My name is Lorelei but on the Internet, and in my writings, I am known as Ladymermaid.

I write on the internet because I love to. It is my passion, my play, my hobby, and my work. Many of my articles are written because of my never ending search for reasons as to why I am ill. My research creates my articles. I want a cure for myself and for others like me.

I spend my days researching possible triggers for my illness. I research new theories as I hear of them and treatments which I think might have some merit to them. I research methods that I can use to try to maintain an optimum level of health. I search for ways of avoiding damage to my body from the inflammation that constantly haunts it. And on the internet...I am Known as Ladymermaid.

Wondering what I am up to?
Well just Google Ladymermaid and you will find me. I spend the majority of my time playing in Cyberland. I am busy researching things which interest me, and preparing to turn them into articles, so usually happily spending my day writing new online posts.
Remember to take time to play
